Thanks UPS, the cards look great! I can’t wait to show them to my customer. Luckily, my customer is also my Dad.
Sorry folks, but we’ll be out of town from June 25th thru July 5th! Woohoo! All orders must be in by Friday, June 19th to have them completed by Thursday, June 25th. Otherwise, they’ll be printed after we get back to the factory on Monday, July 6th. This is some recent work that I’m proud of but haven’t had the chance to properly photograph. The Dread Corsair - “Knight” or “Have Fun Storming the Castle” or “The kid who designed this has no regard for my sanity (just kidding, buddy).”
Benedict Arnold – “At Large” The Blind Eyes – For the release of their new album Modernity (see below). I printed a large textile last week for the Blind Eyes album display going up in the window at Vintage Vinyl for the month of April…maybe they will lose track of time and leave it up longer. The image is 36″ x 36″ (broken up into six 12″ x 18″ piece)and its definitely the largest thing I’ve ever tried to print with screen and hand. (Shameless Plug) …and I have no delusions that anyone but me is reading this blog…But it makes me feel good and it keeps me from going to bed at a reasonable hour. When there are no souls left at the beer bin in the bottom of my fridge, the faithful are forced to dig into the backup supplies. I thought I would never get through these and I still l may not. Scot and I made something today and it was the most fun I have had in a long time. I do so much work for other people that I sometimes forget what a joy it is to do something for fun (or maybe just for friends). If you are interested in seeing me in the wild this might be your best chance. Lets go to the show? I thought I might post a few old things from time to time. Since this is the first time I guess its silly to even say that. This is one of the first things I probably ever printed…way back in the 90’s. I believe it was done with a wax-paper stencil, water-based ink, handheld craft screen on the cheapest possible canvas. I know I have come a long way–I would never cut that many circles out of canvas ever again. |
